A bit of entertainment trivia about “Life of Pi.”  The ferocious Bengal tiger named Richard Parker primarily appears in the film as a CGI creation.  There are very few scenes in “Life of Pi” where real tigers are used.  Check out this article about the challenges the animation crew faced in creating a life-like predator.
